Mr. Bisram Moonilal a.k.a. Nick, is famously known as one of the most talented musicians in the Caribbean. He was born in Tarouba, Marabella, at a very young age he moved to Gasparillo. He attributes much of his talent to his father who was also a musician; he was also very much involved in reading Ramayan. Unknown to his father he used to play the harmonium. His brother Ramnarine Moonilal is also one of Trinidad and Tobago's best musicians. He was the leader of the Dil E Nadan Orchestra. Bisram used to also play with the accordion from the band unknown to the members, until he was caught one day by the band members. Recognizing his talent he was immediately made a member of the band. He toured extensively in Guyana, Suriname and Canada. He accompanied Lord Shorty and The Mighty Sparrow with their recording done with the Acme Dil E Nadan. In his later years he has become a freelance musician. He now spends most of his time playing in Ramayan Satsangs and Religious Functions.
Sadly this most humble and creative guitarist/musician has left the earthly realm on Saturday May 7th, 2016. He will now have the great honour to entertain the Gods. Play on Mr. Bisram Moonilal play on... (Copyright Nisha Sharma 2016)
